My name is Itay Sagui. I’m a husband and father to two kids. We all live in Israel.
Currently, I work at Microsoft as a Software Engineer in the Azure Data Explorer team. In this role, I specialize in the Control Plane, which involves tasks like Azure ARM and cluster creation. Additionally, I am also the lead developer of the Power BI connector.
During my free time, I enjoy developing games using Unity. I have created several Unity Assets and Mobile Games.
Apart from my enthusiasm for computers, I’m an avid reader, particularly of science fiction and fantasy books. Additionally, I am a competing powerlifter, constantly pushing myself to new heights in physical strength and endurance.

At Microsoft’s Israel R&D Center (ILDC), I have been fortunate to contribute as a Software Engineer in the Azure Data Explorer team. Azure Data Explorer is a cutting-edge data analytics service that enables real-time analysis of large data volumes from various sources like applications, websites, and IoT devices.
Tzunami Inc. (2005 – 2016)
My journey in the tech industry officially began at Tzunami Inc., where I held various positions over the years. Starting as a software engineer, I also worked as technical pre-sale. In my last role, I served as the VP of R&D. Tzunami is renowned for its expertise in data and content migration, and I was fortunate to work on projects such as Tzunami Deployer and Cloudsfer.

I have a B.Sc. in Computer Sciences from Bar-Ilan University in Israel, graduating in 2005.
